Bottling of the 2010 Fulcrum Vintage

On January 5th and 6th Fulcrum bottled it’s 2010 vintage in Napa, CA. “ This is a very exciting day and it is hard to believe that our 5th vintage is in the bottle” said Christinna Rossi, VP of Sales of Fulcrum Wines. A total of 936 cases of Pinot Noir were made and are earmarked for a select clientele that will purchase the wine from the company’s mailing list, tasting room and key retail clients. “With so few cases available, we always have to juggle the allotments so everyone who wants our wines can get them”.

Six different bottlings were produced with fruit from some of California’s premier vineyards- Gap’s Crown in the Sonoma Coast, Brosseau in Chalone, Floodgate in Russian River Valley, and Londer in the Anderson Valley. “ We are really pleased with the wines from 2010”, said David Rossi, Winemaker and Founder of Fulcrum. “ The 2010’s are great examples of what Fulcrum is trying to achieve, balanced Pinot Noir that emphasizes fruit expression, elegance, and complexity rather than just power and extraction”. While beautiful now, these wines still show off what Fulcrum Pinot is famous for, complex aromatics, velvety mouthfeel, and a structure that will allow for long term aging.

Fulcrum will offer four vineyard-designated wines and two appellation wines under the On Point label. “Our Fulcrum label continues to grow and now with On Point we can deliver on a very high quality to price ratio” says Christinna. “Pinot Noir is notorious for being a very expensive grape to grow and wine to make, but we are committed to delivering value at each price point ”.
