One of the biggest challenges for a small, rapidly growing company like Fulcrum is to find the right vineyards, facilities and logistics support as we expand production and sales. In 2009, Fulcrum moved production to Bin to Bottle's facility in Napa. We have been thrilled with the facility and the tremendous support we have received from the staff. The 2009 vintage has just been bottled and Fulcrum Winemaker David Rossi has been able to craft Pinot Noirs that are truely representative of the Fulcrum philosophy of "balance".
"The 2009 vintage was challenging because he weather in 2009 really pushed ripeness with a warm September. Most pinot producers are seeking this ripeness, but it makes our goal of reserved elegance a bit harder to achieve. We couldn't have made such quality wines without the support of Bin to Bottle. It was really necessary for me to control all aspects of the winemaking and our relationship allows exactly for that.", commented Rossi.
Fulcrum has also upgraded it's logistics infastructure to accomodate the increased production. Fulcrum has partnered with Vin65, Copperpeak Logistics, and Winetask Compliance to build a foundation for future expansion. Teaming with Vin65 to upgrade and manage our website and e-commerce activities will allow a better online experience for our consumers. Copperpeak's logistics support will allow for improved direct to consumer and trade sales support. Finally, Winetask will coordinate compliance activities for Fulcrum to ensure we are executing our growth while being up to date and on top of the complex world of state and federal wine legal compliance.
"We want to thank all of these great companies for working with Fulcrum to take us to the next level of wine quality and customer service", said David Rossi. "Being a small producer means that we rely upon help from all areas of the wine industry to deliver on goals of being one of the preeminent wine brands in the country".
